In 2007, the University of California, Berkeley Division of Arts & Humanities and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich) established a joint program to pursue innovative, collaborative research in the humanities. The program, which is coordinated at UC Berkeley by the Center for Interdisciplinary Critical Inquiry, facilitates academic exchange of faculty members, graduate students, and postdocs through visiting appointments, conferences, and workshops between UC Berkeley and LMU.
