February 11, 2025: Meet the Residents: "Microbial Mythology," Marie-Sarah Adenis & Cyrielle Gulacsy (Villa Albertine)

February 11, 2025

Villa Albertine, in partnership with the Djerassi Resident Artists Program and the Engie Foundation, are pleased to present a one-of-a-kind residency dedicated to natural and environmental heritage.

Marie-Sarah Adenis and Cyrielle Gulacsy are developing a microbial mythology, blending scientific and mythological narratives to make the invisible visible. This project will explore the origins of life and its microscopic foundations, while also inspiring new forms of ecological storytelling.

This intimate gathering will be the moment to present the work they have accomplished as part of this residency.

Marie-Sarah Adenis is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the intersection of biology, design, and mythology. She has exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo, Centre Pompidou, and co-founded the biotech company Pili.

Cyrielle Gulacsy is a self-taught artist inspired by modern physics, translating imperceptible realities into painting, sculpture, and photography. She has exhibited at the Musée d’Orsay and international galleries.
